Welcome to Sidekick

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Sidekick mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Sidekick ("us", "we", or "our").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Sidekick app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Description of Service

Sidekick is a family responsibility and financial literacy tool that helps parents and children collaborate on building healthy habits through:

  • • Chore-to-reward allowance card systems
  • • Achievement tracking and responsibility building
  • • Family-wide synchronization through CloudKit
  • • Educational tools for financial literacy and self-regulation

User Responsibilities

As a Parent/Guardian, you agree to:

  • • Supervise your children's use of the app
  • • Provide accurate information when setting up profiles
  • • Maintain the security of your account and PIN
  • • Use the app in compliance with applicable laws
  • • Respect the privacy and data of all family members

Subscription and Billing

Sidekick Free

The free version of Sidekick includes basic features with limitations on the number of children and allowance cards you can create.

Sidekick+ Subscription

  • • Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store
  • • Automatic renewal unless cancelled 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • • Manage subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings
  • • No refunds for unused portions of subscription periods

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Sidekick and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use our Service:

  • • For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts
  • • To violate any international, federal, provincial, or state regulations or laws
  • • To transmit, or procure the sending of, any advertising or promotional material
  • • To impersonate or attempt to impersonate the company, employees, or other users
  • • To harm minors in any way

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Sidekick, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
